Privacy Policy
This policy explains how American Member Benefits ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use our coverage quote survey on this website. American Member Benefits is a marketing name of a licensed independent insurance agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union or any credit union.
Information we collect
- What you tell us: your answers to the survey (credit union membership, coverage amount, who the coverage protects, date of birth), your name, email address, phone number and state, and your consent choices.
- Automatically: device and browser information, pages visited, and actions taken on the page, collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel.
How we use it
- To have a licensed insurance professional contact you about the coverage you asked about, by phone call, text message or email, as you consented.
- To prepare quotes, schedule your call, and keep a record of your request and consent.
- To measure and improve our advertising and this website.
- To comply with law and protect against fraud and misuse.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With the licensed agents on our team who handle your request.
- With service providers that run our systems for us (customer-relationship software, scheduling, spreadsheets, website hosting and text/email delivery), who may use it only to provide those services.
- With insurance carriers, only if you choose to apply for coverage.
- With advertising partners such as Meta, for ad measurement (see below).
- When required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent collected for our text program are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies, the Meta Pixel and ads
This site uses the Meta Pixel and similar tools so Meta can measure whether our ads lead to completed surveys and show our ads to people likely to find them useful. Meta may collect information such as your IP address, browser details and page activity, and may receive limited survey events from our servers. We do not send your answers, name, email or phone number in the clear as ad parameters. You can manage this through:
- Your Facebook Ad Preferences
- The Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info
- Your browser's cookie settings
Text messages
If you consent, you may receive calls and texts about your quote request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep your information for as long as needed to handle your request, keep required records of your consent, and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of calls, texts and emails at any time. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email us at the address below; we may need to verify your identity.
Children
This website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
